Quarantine was not the easiest for anyone. We all remember being behind closed doors for months without the freedom to go for a walk. Your usual summer trips? Cancelled? A simple visit to the park? No. That period of time was very devastating for everyone around the world. But in some places, even though humans couldn’t visit the zoo, the animals were able to see humans in their natural habitats.
During the winter of 2020, a lucky couple spotted a cute red fox sleeping on a tree stump behind their garden. They shared the photos with their daughter, Sarah Ryan, who couldn’t help but share them with the world.
Sarah’s father was the one who saw the fox, took a photo and sent it to his daughter. He then continued to update her on how often the fox visited her. The pair were fascinated by how the fox even played with dog toys that one of his daughters had left behind.
Foxes are nocturnal, so the red fox would go out hunting at night. It could be seen running down the street near his home, but since most people were indoors, the cute animal was not in any danger from oncoming vehicles. Otherwise, when it’s sunny, he lays on the stump.
Having a view like this right outside your door is very exciting and this couple had the opportunity to experience it. It’s certainly more relaxing than finding out you have a wild bear on the loose in your neighborhood.
